ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – During tonight’s Zeeland City Council meeting, a proposal to extend for a year the current contract between the Zeeland BPW and Mead Johnson for supplying water to its Main Avenue facility will be considered, as the current 20-year deal expires on Halloween. Mead Johnson has purchased more than 12.2 billion gallons of water under the agreement at a cost of more than 21.5 million dollars. Also during this evening’s Council meeting, Jared Teune will make a presentation involving allowing street performers in downtown Zeeland, perhaps along the same lines as in neighboring Holland.
It’s also the third Monday of the month, so the Holland, West Ottawa, Zeeland and Saugatuck school boards hold their monthly meetings this evening.
