LANSING, MI ( WHTC) – Michigan’s 30th official Christmas tree will be coming from the western part of the Upper Peninsula in Wakefield.
It arrives at the Capital on October 31 and is a 66-foot spruce. A lighting ceremony will take place on November 20 and be part of Lansing’s Silver Bells in the City celebration.
The spruce is being donated in memory of Jim Daniels who was a teacher and coach for over 30 years in the Wakefield School System which is located about ten miles from the Wisconsin border.
