HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – An Allendale man crashed his car in Holland Township after trying to evade an Ottawa County Sheriff Deputy during a traffic stop early Sunday morning.
The suspect, whose name is being withheld pending trial and arraignment, was driving erratically at approximately 2:30 a.m. when he was pulled over by a Sheriff Deputy on duty on Ransom St. near 120th Ave in Holland Township.
As the deputy approached the stopped car, the suspect suddenly sped off and headed towards U.S. 31. On approaching the highway, the suspect lost control of the vehicle and crashed the car onto the south side of the road. The suspect was injured in the crash and taken to Spectrum hospital. The crash remains under investigation.
