HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 24-year-old Coopersville man who was not wearing a seatbelt, is in serious condition at Spectrum Hospital after running a stop sign and crashing his vehicle in Chester Township.
According to Sgt. Brian Buter with the Ottawa County Sheriffs Office, just before midnight last night, Caleb Rasch was northbound on Eighth Avenue and failed to stop at the stop sign at Wilson Street. There is a slight jog to the west of the intersection and after failing to stop, Rasch’s 1997 Chevy Pick Up left the roadway. The truck came to rest in a ditch along the roadway of Eighth Avenue.
Rasch and his passenger, Ryan Sloan, 26, of Sparta were transported to Spectrum Butterworth.
Rasch is listed in serious condition and Sloan is listed in stable condition.
