HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland Public Safety officers are advising those living or working near the Holland Energy Park construction site to not be concerned if they see smoke coming out of that area on Wednesday. Weather permitting, a prescribed burn conducted through the Outdoor Discovery Center’s Macatawa Greenway and the Holland BPW will eliminate a large brush pile contaminated with Japanese and Giant Knotweed, both considered invasive species. The burn, which will be north and west of the Chicago Drive-8th Street junction, is slated to begin around 8:30 AM and last most of the day.
