KALAMAZOO, MI (WHTC) – The powerball jackpot winning tickets was purchased at a Shell gas station on Michigan Avenue.
The 50-year-old mom picked up the winning ticket at around 6:30 Wednesday evening, just hours before the drawing.
She reported for her third shift job as a Supervisor at Aquatics, and with a crowd of co-workers around her, learned to her stunned disbelief that she was now a multi-millionaire. She reportedly broke down in tears, composed herself and clocked out a few minutes later, reportedly for the last time.
She isn’t ready to go public yet, but will soon. The lump sum payout for matching all the winning numbers is estimated to be more then 197-million dollars.
