ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC) – A 33-year-old Hudsonville man was transported to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital overnight due to a one-car personal injury accident on 48th Avenue north of Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale Township.
According to Sgt. Jay Douglas of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Ryan David Dyk, 33, was traveling southbound on 48th Avenue and swerved and lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid an animal in the roadway. He struck the guardrail on the west side of the road before crossing both lanes and striking the guardrail on the east side of the roadway.
Dyk was treated on the scene and then transported to Spectrum Butterworth in good condition. He was wearing his seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
