SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC) – During tonight’s Saugatuck City Council meeting, the panel is expected to lend its support to the “Friends of the Blue Star Trail” group’s effort in getting state DNR and DOT grants for continuing a 20-mile-long pathway that starts at Holland Street South and connects the city with neighboring communities. Mayor Bill Hess says that council members have met over the past week with consulting engineers on options along the Blue Star Highway and possible in-town routes for the section of the Trail that will border Saugatuck.
