NTSB Report Issued in Holland Pilot’s Plane Crash

LARAMIE, WY (WHTC) – A National Transportation Safety Board preliminary report concluded that a partial loss of engine power led to a crash of a small plane by a veteran Holland pilot in the state of Wyoming nearly two weeks ago. The wreck off of an Interstate east of Laramie hospitalized 67-year-old Steven Stam with non-life threatening injuries, and no vehicles on the ground were struck. The pilot told investigators that they hadn’t been any apparent mechanical problems with the plane or its engine, and the report showed that there was enough fuel in the craft at the time. Stam, who was involved in plane crashes near Holland State Park in July and at Park Township Airport six years ago, was flying to a regional airport in Nebraska at the time.
