GRAND HAVEN TWP., MI (WHTC) – Officials with Holland Hospital and Spectrum Health will reportedly meet with Grand Haven Township planners before that community’s scheduled Planning Commission meeting next Monday concerning a proposed new medical facility. The two entities want to build a 120 thousand square-foot, three-story building off of US-31 near Robbins Road. No formal plans are expected to be submitted for this meeting, but “Health Pointe” is targeted for a 2017 opening.
Holland Hospital had opened an urgent care center in the shadow of Spectrum Health-Zeeland Community Hospital last year, with ZCH officials taking a dim view of the matter. This proposed venture in the Grand Haven area is reportedly getting the same cool reception from North Ottawa Community Hospital, according to M-Live.
