WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – An accident at 128th Avenue and Lake Michigan Drive in West Olive caused two 18-year-old women minor injuries on Friday evening.
At approximately 8:23 that night, 18 year-old Clarkston resident Caroline Spyman and her two 18-year-old passengers Madison Reid and Rebecca Gideon were travelling east bound on Lake Michigan Drive in Robinson Township when their vehicle was struck by 18-year-old Landen Waite of Grand Haven. Waite was driving north on 128th Ave.when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the Lake Michigan Dr. intersection and t-boned Spyman’s vehicle.
Spyman and her passenger Madison Reid were injured in the accident and taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital, where they have since been released. Waite was cited for disregarding a traffic control device.
