GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) -Today on the 14th Anniversary of 911, the Gerald R. Ford Museum in Grand Rapids is hosting a Community Day of Remembrance till dusk tonight.
A motorcade consisting f the Patriot Guard, local police and fire units rolled through yesterday and brought an American flag to the museum.
Boy Scouts of America and members of the public joined as the flag was raised yesterday evening. It will be flown till dusk tonight with the Boy Scouts maintaining their daylong salute at that flag.
The exhibit “9/11: A Day That Changed America,” is at the museum on loan from the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York City, and a rescue vehicle used following the attacks is on loan from the Henry Ford Museum. You can view the exhibit from 9-5 p.m. today.
