M-40 Construction Work South of Holland Underway

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – M-DOT contractors began work on rebuilding and relocating the intersection of M-40 and Interchange Drive, south of the I-196 junction in Holland, to accommodate a new traffic signal and new access for local business. It’s seen as a way to improve safety after several high-profile fatal traffic crashes in front of the Tulip City Truck Stop, as well as to accommodate for a proposed competing chain truck stop. Work will halt for the winter on November 6^th and should be completed by next May.
