LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The second annual state College and University Flu Vaccination Challenge is underway. Defending small-school champion Hope College, along with Grand Valley State University, are among 15 institutions of higher learning that are partnering with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in an eight month-long competition to see who has the highest student body inoculation percentage. HHS officials say that only 11 percent of those aged 18-24 were vaccinated last winter.
