NEW YORK, NEW YORK (WHTC) – 9/11 Day is coming up this Friday and the “service” part of the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance is starting today.
All this week blood drives will be going on around the country leading up to Friday’s observance. The American Red Cross and the 9/11 Day organization sponsor what they call the nation’s largest day of charitable engagement.
Over 40-million Americans are expected to take part in organized and spontaneous acts of service.
The day is dedicated to remembering and honoring people killed in the September 11 terrorist attacks and the people who responded.
