HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Ground was broken on Monday for a 42 thousand square-foot Jim and Martie Bultman Student Center on the Hope College campus. The Nykerk Hall of Music will be razed to make room for the building that, when completed in two years, will be the first dedicated student center space at the school in more than 35 years. Money for the 22.5 million-dollar project comes from the “A Greater Hope” fundraising drive, which included a 10 million-dollar lead gift from the DeVos family.
