UNDATED (WHTC) – Game Day One of the 2015 high school football season along the Lakeshore continued on Friday evening. After Hamilton, Saugatuck and Fennville registered victories and West Ottawa had a Thursday night to forget, three more teams get their campaigns up and running.
In a game that aired on 1450 WHTC, Holland fell at home to Reeths-Puffer, 21-13, while cross-town rival Holland Christian lost at Forest Hills Eastern, 48-32. Zeeland East preserved some Lakeshore pride by winning at Ottawa Hills, 28-7.
The opening weekend concludes on Saturday evening, as Zeeland West surrenders one of its home games at Zeeland Stadium to face Oak Park at GVSU’s Lubbers Stadium.
In contests next week: Thursday action at 6:40 finds Grand Ledge at West Ottawa on 1450 WHTC and Saugatuck visiting Kalamazoo United at Soisson-Rapaz-Clason Field on 92.7 The Van. Next Friday evening at 6:40 on 1450 WHTC, Zeeland East is home to Holy Trinity Catholic High from Simcoe, Ontario.
