HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Holland Board of Public Works notified the Ottawa County Health Department and the state Department of Environmental Quality after around a thousand gallons of not disinfected, effluent water spilled at the Holland Area Water Reclamation Facility on Friday afternoon. A contractor working on the site accidentally hit a pipeline while installing sheet piling needed for construction work. The break was sealed in about 75 minutes, and the spillage was contained and recaptured without incident.
