HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – As school supply prices rise, there is help for students in the Holland area.
The Greater Ottawa County United Way has their Stuff the Bus campaign every year and are now ready to distribute the backpacks to families in need.
Students in the Holland area can make an appointment to pick up a backpack with the Salvation Army at (616) 392-4461. Backpacks will be distributed 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at the Salvation Army at 104 Clover St.
Photo identification, Social Security card, Social Security numbers for household members and proof of income are needed to pick up a backpack for a student.
Stuff the Bus is a collaboration of Greater Ottawa County United Way, The Salvation Army and Grand Haven Area Public Schools. Sponsors are Fifth Third Bank, Huntington Bank and Two Men and a Truck.
