HOLLAND (WHTC) – A Holland company is expanding its manufacturing operation, and with it, is adding 14 new jobs over the next two years. Nuvar Incoprorated is building a 45,400 square foot facility on East 40th Street, just down the road from its main manfuacturing operation. Compay president Mark Kuyper says his firm has experienced continued growth and credits the work of his employees for the company’s success. Nuvar is investing more than $2.9 million into the plant. The company began in 1989 making medical carts for Herman Miller, and has since expanded into making other furniture and equipment for hospitals and clinics. It also has a thermoforming plastic operation that manufactures returnable shipping packaging for manufacturing and transport companies. The City Council Wednesday signed off on a 12-year, 50 percent tax break for the project.
