GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – Two teenaged girls were rescued from the choppy waters of Lake Michigan off of Grand Haven State Park on Thursday afternoon by a surfer. Zeb Boeskool noticed the youths floundering about 800 feet from the pier, apparently caught by a rip current, and with the help of Public Safety officers, pulled the teens to safety. The unnamed girls were taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital for treatment, with one of them in serious condition after needing to be resuscitated.
