LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Retired financial consultant Dennis Nickels of Grand Haven has been reappointed to a three-year term on the State Waterways Commission. The seven-person panel advises the DNR on recreational harbors, channels, docking and launching facilities statewide, along with the commercial docks in the Straits of Mackinac. Representing the general public on the commission, Nickels’ credentials include a US Coast Guard Captain’s License and a US Merchant Marine 100-ton Ship’s Master License.
