GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – A five-day Recovery Coach Academy, a part of the Ottawa County Circuit Court’s Adult Drug Treatment Court, is underway for 34 people that are in stable and sustained recovery from drug or alcohol addiction. These “coaches” serve as mentors for those involved in treatment for substance use disorders or as guides for people seeking or already in recovery. This academy, funded by a three-year federal grant, will help develop a coaching system for the entire West Michigan region.
