HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Deputies were dispatched to a car versus bicycle personal injury accident at Vans Blvd and Harrington in South Park Township yesterday evening.
Braden Hyde, 13, of Holland was riding his bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Erin Moeke, 23, of Holland.
According to Sgt. Kristie Wendt of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Moeke was westbound on Vans Blvd near Harrington when Hyde was riding his bicycle in a wooded area on the southside of Vans Blvd. He went to cross Vans Blvd and rode into the path of Moeke. He told police he did not look before crossing the road.
Hyde was transported to Holland Hospital with minor injuries. Moekee was uninjured.
