HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A multi-million-dollar proposal to attract more visitors to Windmill Island will be the discussion during a study session today with Holland city leaders.
The plan is to build a pedestrian bridge over the Macatawa River to connect Holland Township to Windmill Island and to the rest of downtown.
The city orginially budgeted $2 million but are not looking at options that cost from $2.5 million to $4 million, depending on where the bridge is placed.
Windmill Island Gardens turned 50 years old and you’re invited to celebrate this milestone at the Golden anniversary community day on Thursday, August 27. Admission is free.
