ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – After an accident in Zeeland on Saturday afternoon, a driver of a moped suffered injuries to both his head and arm. 54-year-old Donald Deters of Farmington Hills was driving his moped southbound on 40th Avenue just south of Greenly street when he lost control and struck the guard rail lining the road.Ottawa County Sheriff Deputies reponded to the accident at approximately 1:30 pm and shortly after Deters was transported from the scene to Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids with possible injury to the head and left arm. Currently, Deter is listed in good condition.
