JAMESTOWN, MI (WHTC) – Two elderly women and a Byron Center resident were involved in a two-car crash Sunday afternoon, leaving one of the women injured. At approximately 2:30 p.m. 90-year-old Grand Haven resident Lynn Fitzgerald and her passenger 85-year-old Allendale resident Eleanor Myles were travelling down Kenowa Avenue in Jamestown when they came upon the intersection of Riley Street. Fitzgerald stopped at the yield sign, but then proceeded into the intersection without seeing 24-year-old Lauren Annunziata of Byron Center approach on Riley Street. Annunziata struck the passenger side of Fitzgerald’s vehicle, injuring passenger Myles. Ottawa County Sheriff Deputies responded to the incident and Myles were transported to Butterworth Hospital. She is listed in stable condition.
