LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The 62 newest Michigan State Troopers reported to posts across the state for their first day on the job today. Three men from the Lakeshore are now wearing blue, as Holland’s Steffon Mayhue is in Niles, Fennville’s Jeremy Martin went to Paw Paw, and Zeeland’s Grant Geurink was dispatched to Cadillac. The Wayland post was bolstered by the arrival of Jason Roskam from Jones and Stephen Wood from Traverse City. There are now more than a thousand state troopers on the job.
