HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Although no action will be taken, this evening’s Holland City Council work-study session is expected to be lively, mainly because of the Holland Civic Center renovation concept unveiled late last month. Vendors in the Holland Farmer’s Market and others have been quite vocal in opposing plans for converting the parking lot east of the building into park space, saying that it would cut down on customer volume, among other issues. The panel will also review the process for filling the Fourth Ward Council vacancy after Bob Vande Vusse was appointed to replace Kurt Dykstra as Mayor on July 1st.
