PARK TWP., MI (WHTC) – Investigators continue to probe last evening’s single-engine plane crash north of Holland State Park. Steven Stam was able to steer his craft from the beach volleyball courts to a grassy area between the shore and the Spyglass Condominium complex after it had experienced engine trouble and lost power. The 66-year-old Holland man was able to walk out with bumps and bruises, while there were no reported injuries on the ground or in propery damage. It was Stam’s second such wreck in a six-year span; his older brother Rick died in a plane crash in 2006.
