GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – Grand Rapids-based Mel Trotter Ministries announced a restructuring of its thrift store chain, closing locations on 28th Street in the Calder City and on State Street in Belding, but keeping outlets off of Cottonwood Drive in Jenison and in Sparta open. Goodwill will take over the Belding operations, and a third party vendor is being sought to handle Mel Trotter’s auto program that had been at the 28th Street complex. Ministries officials say that the changes were tied to to donation volume.
