CROCKERY TWP, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a personal injury accident on I96 and 112th Avenue in Crockery Township last night.
According to Sgt. Matt Wilfong, the 2003 Jeep Liberty driven by Samantha Carey, 17, of Muskegon left the roadway into the median and rolled over multiple times. Carey told deputies the steering wheel was shakey just prior to her losing control.
Carey and her front seat passenger Kara Paparela, 17, also of Muskegon, were transported to Hackley Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
Responding agencies are the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol, Crockery Fire Rescue and North Ottawa Community Hospital Ambulance.
The crash remains under investigation.
