WRIGHT TWP, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Deputies were dispatched to a two vehicle crash at 8th Avenue and Garfield in Wright Township yesterday evening.
Sgt. Jay Douglas with the Ottawa County Sheriff;s Department says Donald Henderson, 26, of Grand Rapids was driving a 1990 Audi northbound on 8th Avenue approaching Garfield Street when a 2007 Chery Silverado was traveling southbound and turn eastbound into the path of Henderson.
The unamed driver, a 58-year-old resident of Grand Rapids, did not suffer any injuries and is lodged in the Ottawa County Jail pending arraignment.
Henderson received minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene. His passenger Justin Hamel, 27, of Grand Rapids was unjured and transported to Spectrum Hospital in good condition.
Alcohol was believed to be a factor in the crash.
