BLOOMINGDALE, MI (WHTC) – A race car was reported stolen to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department yesterday. The victim, who remains unnamed for the time being, told police that he had left his Pro-Street 1977 Camaro in an enclosed trailer on a family member’s property on 40th Street in Bloomingdale. He stated that he had not check on his car for two months, but when the victim went to pick up the car on Thursday, July 2, both the trailer and the car were gone. The incident remains under investigation. **UPDATE- The stolen race car was found in Allegan yesterday afternoon.The trailer that the race car was enclosed in has still not been found. Details will be released at a later time.
