ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – Zeeland Public School students in grades K-2 will be using iPad mini tablets this fall.
The Zeeland school board approved a $2.79 million measure at a special meeting on Tuesday, which includes nearly 3,000 new iPads, as well as a new district phone system, an Internet network upgrade, new lockdown systems, and instruments for the middle and high school band and orchestra.
Just like their grades 3-5 counterparts, students in grades K-2 will only be allowed to use their devices in class.
The new tablets will be ready for distribution when school returns this fall.
