HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – An 18-year-old Zeeland bicyclist suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross a road on Holland’s North Side this afternoon. Deputies say that Emmanule Rosales was pedaling on the sidewalk along James Street when he went against a red light and tried to get across 136th Avenue. The northbound motorist was on a green light and couldn’t avoid striking Rosales, who was taken to Holland Hospital for treatment. The driver, 26-year-old Marcus Arredondo of Holland, was not hurt. An investigation continues.
