HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A four-car pileup on Douglas and River avenues on Holland’s North Side left five people with minor, non-life-threating injuries.
Steven Brower, 52, was driving with passengers Kathy Brower, 52, Adalynn Tucker, nine months, and Lindsay Tucker, 27, when he approached a blinking yellow light.
An investigation determined that Brower was unaware of oncoming traffic when he took a left turn, causing another vehicle driven by Roxanne Pardue, 47, to swerve out of his path. Pardue then struck another vehicle driven by Robert Romo, 40, with his passenger, Jennifer Beach-Romo, 37. A fourth vehicle, driven by Martin O’Connor, was stopped at the traffic light when struck by the oncoming vehicles.
The area was temporarily closed as firefighters cleaned up leaking fuel and oil.
