PORT SHELDON TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 17-year-old Grand Haven girl was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash between Holland and Grand Haven on Monday afternoon. Deputies say that Alaina Hagar was backing her vehicle from a driveway off of Butternut Drive near Port Sheldon Street when it was rammed from behind by a van pulled ina trailer. She was taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening head injury, while three youngsters from West Olive inside of her vehicle, ranging in ages from nine to three, were not hurt; the other driver, 19-year-old Jarrit Scholten of Holland, also escaped injury. The crash remains under investigation.
