HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 52-year-old Holland man is expected to recover from injuries suffered when he was struck by a slow-moving coal train on Holland’s North Side during the Noon Hour today. Robert Montgomery told responding deputies that he didn’t see or hear the approaching northbound engine as he was either sitting or lying on the tracks about 300 feet north of the Lakewood Boulevard crossing.
