HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A two vehicle crash has sent a Holland woman and three of her passengers including a 14-year-old and a three-month-old to the hospital.
Monique Coleman, 34, of Holland was westbound on Riley Street when she ran a red light and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Kelly Scott Rus, 28, of Holland who was northbound on U.S. 31.
Sgt. J. Douglas of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department says Coleman was taken to Holland Hosoital in good condition and the 14-year-old juvenile was reported to have suffered minor injuries. The three-month-old who was in a properly secured restrained child safety seat, was taken to Holland Hospital as a precaution, but was not injured. Coleman’s fron seat passenger Albert Jimez, 35, of Holland was not injured but complains of neck pain and sought his own treatment.
Rus was not injured in the crash. The front seat passenger in Coleman’s vehicle Albert Jimez, 35, of Holland was not injured but complained of neck pain and sought his own treatment.
Coleman was issued a citation for running a red light. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
