HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 38-year-old man is in the Ottawa County Jail for driving with a suspended license, but the circumstances of his arrest led to a brief precautionary lockdown on New Groningen Elementary School between Holland and Zeeland around 2:30 on Friday afternoon. Deputies say that the unnamed man, who was a non-custodial parent of a couple of students at the school, had wandered in and out of the building, but made no contact with them or any other youths. He was pulled over about a half mile away from the school without incident. More charges may be forthcoming pending a review of the case by the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office.
