GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – A single car crash has sent two Grand Haven residents to the hospital.
The driver Ronald Brown, 56, of Grand Haven told Ottawa County Deputies his brakes malfunctioned on his 1997 Buick LeSabre as he was exiting U.S. 31 NB street according to Sgt. Matt Wilfong of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
The vehicle went through the intersection, struck a curb and hit a sign in the Fifth Third Bank parking lot. The vehicle then hit a tree and finially came to a stop after hitting a fence.
Both Ronald Bowrn and his front seat passenger Karen Brown, 62, of Grand Haven were taken to North Ottawa Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and their condition remains unknown. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
Responding agencies include Ottawa County Sheriff’s Road Patrol, Ferrysburg Fire Rescue and North Ottawa County Ambulance.
