HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Holland City Council approved a nearly 21.6 million-dollar budget for fiscal 2016. City Manager Ryan Cotton says that the current property tax rate of 15.1 mills will remain the same for a fourth straight year. At-Large Councilman Wayne Klomparens proposed a slash of about two tenth of a mill, but that was shot down on a 7-2 vote, and he was the lone dissenter when the final spending plan vote came.
