HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The other shoe has dropped at the former JCI Tech Center off of 32nd Street in Holland that was part of a selloff to Visteon last July. The one-time Ford parts arm is closing the plant by the end of the year, with laying off and/or transferring 240 workers starting after September 1. Visteon officials say that, by moving operations to downriver Detroit, it would improve responsiveness to customers, along with quality and growth. Severance package details weren’t immediately disclosed.
