HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 45-year-old Lansing man is recovering from an apparent heroin overdose at Holland Hospital before being arraigned on driving under the influence and drug possession charges. The unnamed motorist was eastbound on Ottogan Street near Diamond Avenue, east of Country Club Road in Holland Township, when he lost control of his vehicle, veered left and struck a utility pole and a fire hydrant around 1 PM on Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses told deputies that they saw the vehicle going erratically before the crash, with one of them needing to take evasive action to avoid a collision.
