HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Don’t look for block and board benches along 8th Street during the three Tulip Time Festival parades next month. City and festival officials say that the practice of setting these up will end because several of the blocks and boards have become “dilapidated” over the years, and by eliminating these benches, 8th Street will be open for traffic on Friday, May 8th, the day between the Kinderparade and the Volksparade. All parade goers will now have to bring their own blankets and chairs.
