LANSING, MI (WHTC) – We are being encouraged by the Michigan State Police to take part in a statewide tornado drill tomorrow at 2 p.m.
The drill is part of Severe Weather Awareness Week here in Michigan. State Police say nearly all state office buildings will take part in the exercise.
According to officials, the average lead time for tornadoes to develop is just ten to 15 minutes, meaning people need to be able to react quickly and get to safety if a warning is issued.
