SAUGATUCK, MI ( WHTC) – It’s going to cost you more to go to Saugatucks Oval Beach this Summer but you can use your credit card.
Following a unanimous vote by Saugatuck’s city council, day fees and season passes fees are rising. The day pass fee is rising from $6 to $8 and the season passes from $40 to $50 dollars. City residents $20 season pass will remain unaffected by the change.
bout 36,000 day use, 800 season and 350 resident passes are sold annually at Oval beach.
The rate increase will raise an additional $80,000 in revenue for the city and the fees from Oval beach will be used to resurface and expand the parking lot at the beach.
