Two in Custody in December Armed Robbery of South Haven-Area Store

GENEVA TWP., MI (WHTC) – Two Van Buren County persons are in custody after an armed robbery of the Phoenix Country Market east of South Haven on December 28^th. State police helped county sheriff’s track down 36-year-old Anton Walters of Bangor and 17-year-old Melody Rawson of Paw Paw. Walters allegedly was masked when he pulled a gun at an employee, ordered the cash register to be opened, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The two remain jailed on 100 thousand dollars bond each.
