GENEVA TWP., MI (WHTC) – Two Van Buren County persons are in custody after an armed robbery of the Phoenix Country Market east of South Haven on December 28th. State police helped county sheriff’s track down 36-year-old Anton Walters of Bangor and 17-year-old Melody Rawson of Paw Paw. Walters allegedly was masked when he pulled a gun at an employee, ordered the cash register to be opened, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The two remain jailed on 100 thousand dollars bond each.
