WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – During this morning’s meeting, the Planning and Policy Committee of the Ottawa County Board endorsed an application for a 630 thousand-dollar M-DOT Transportation Alternatives Program grant. The money would go towards a nearly one million-dollar, 3.5 mile-long, 10-foot wide paved trail as part of the Grand River Greenway M-231 Connector Project. The committee also OK’d two bids for construction and renovation at the Grand Ravines Site. The full board votes on these on April 28th.
Meanwhile, Ottawa County Administrator Al Vanderberg has been appointed to the Michigan Municipal Services Authority’s executive committee as the representative for local public agencies, completing the term of Robert Daddow through September 17th of 2016. Vanderberg was an at-large member of the 12-member panel that oversees the development of shared services that any interested community or school district can participate in.
